Picture Discussion (Accident)

- This picture depicts a scene after a car accident. This must have happened some time later, as I can see help had arrived.
- This car accident must have happened at a road junction, by judging from the corner of the red-coloured building and the white lines painted on the asphalt for pedestrians to cross the road.
- The car must be speeding around the corner, as there are marks at a corner of the junction. This must have caused the car accident as the car may flip and crash.
- I can also see that the rescuers are trying their best to save the casualties as fast as they could, as they were crowding around the car, trying to get the casualties out.
- Nevertheless, there are police officers investigating the scene, as one of them seems to be explaining the possible causes of the accident while the other take down notes on the accident scene.
- There is also one rescuer holding a fire hose. This may be because a car can burst into flames when turned turtle. Thus, that rescuer acts as a backup if the fire ignites.
- However, there were some pedestrians standing at one corner, leaning against the wall of the red-coloured building. They could actually help the rescuers other than by watching them saving the casualty. I think that they are inconsiderate and not helpful, as they did not lend a helping hand when the others need it.
- This picture actually teaches people that life is very fragile. We should cherish it. At the same time, we should help others whenever we could.
