Picture Discussion - China Trip

This picture depicts a scene where many teenagers are holding a banner. Judging from the broad smile on their faces, i can therefore say that it is perhaps a joyous occasion. Furthermore, the words on the banner tells me that Singapore students have went overseas to China to interact. As most of the teenagers are wearing the same type of clothes, which means same designs and patterns, i can conclude that they might be attending school at that point of time. Moreover, i can also deduce that they were also China students as such uniforms were never seen in Singapore.

In addition, i can see that there are 3 Singapore schools' names, which are: Greendale, Pei Hua (bleh ) and Nan Chiau. Thus, this shows that the 3 schools were going on an interaction trip together. This is a good thing as besides interacting with the China students, we could also interact among ourselves and build up closer relationships with other schools as well.
This event should be held recently as the banner shows the year "2008", thus, I conclude that this trip was held recently.
From the picture, i could see that some of the China students are wearing red "things" around their necks. I suppose that it could be sort of an organization or club and the red cloth is used to identify members of that particular organization. Moreover, as the China flag is also red in colour, i could also say that the school chose red so as to show their patriotism and pride for their country - China. The boys also had the same haircut - buzzcut which resembles the typical army style. I think that it might be the strict school rules that prohibits them to have long hair. This shows that the school is very particular when it comes to discipline and their school image.
I feel that our school should have such trips often. Students have the opportunity to learn more when they experience things themselves. As the saying goes " A picture is worth a thousand words." , thus , I feel that this kind of trips would benefit us students much. Naturally, this would also help in our relationship with other schools as travelling with them could let us experience the teachings and discipline of other schools ...
