Rescue

This picture depicts a woman holding a card saying "no whaling". I think that this woman is probably a conservationist, as she is standing up for not killing the whales that are on the verge of extinction. She is sitting on a pile of cards which I think is also conveying the message of "no whaling". I think this bodes well for the whales. If I had the chance, I would also want to participate in anti-whaling campaigns or activities.
I think that the woman in this picture is feeling very sad as there are many whales that are being slaughtered for food by selfish, ignorant people. She may also feel angry at the same time, as many whales have been and will be killed just because people are selfish and respond only to their needs.
According to some websites, whaling is very common in Japan and Germany. They kill whales primarily for food, and sometimes for their blubber. I suppose that the fishermen would get a higher pay when they kill whales, so this is a great incentive for them to continue whaling even when they know that whaling is not a good activity. I think everyone should play a part in saving the whales, as they are magnificent creatures and if more whales are killed, the food chains will definitely get affected and it may lead to more animals getting extinct. More importantly, if they keep whaling, our next generations would not get a chance to see this creature that can inspire much awe.
In all, I think that this woman is a very good example for us to protect the environment, and the very fragile mother nature. If we do not stop activities that are hurting mother nature, mother nature will eventually hurt us in return.
