This picture depicts a scene of a third-world country. There are 3 children in the photo. They seems to be happy as they are smiling. Maybe they have found something useful which would help them improve their daily lifestyle. They might be picking up or collecting things from the rubbish as one of them are half standing and looking on the floor. One can easily spot them collecting items there as they have the help of wheelbarrows. Maybe the wheelbarrows are one of the things that they have found previously. The weather might be sunny but also windy. This is because the kids are wearing long sleeves and the sun is also shining very brightly. I think that the three kids are all girls as they are were long skirts. It is unlikely for a guy to wear a skirt.
Behind the kids, there is a sheltered place. It does not look like a house to me. It seems to be just pieces of metal with wooden sticks that placed together. The material that was used to built that house is metal and wooden sticks, while in Singapore we used brick, concrete to built our flats. The materials they used also show that the house is not very strong. If there is an earthquake, I believe the house will collapse. It will cause several people death. It would be painful for those to lose their love ones. And from the material they used to build the house, I can conclude that the country over there is not rich, unlike Singapore. The house does not look very clean to me as it is built in a rubbish dump. If I were to stay there, I think I will not be able to take it and fly back to Singapore immediately.
I think the house belonged to someone as there are clothes hanging outside the house. I think it environment friendly to use sticks and ropes to hang their clothes instead of having some metal hanger, like what most Singaporean do. I think they are skillful, as the rope that is tied around the sticks is tied very tightly and very neatly. I think they are also very smart as they are able to think of ways to use things that are useless and turn them into something that is useful and would improve their lifestyles. I believe not many in Singapore would be able to think of ways to recycle things. I think this is the attitude that most Singaporean should be learning from them.
I think that the environment the kids are living is not very good as they are living beside a rubbish dump. It is also very unhygienic, as they might found some food in the rubbish dump and eat it. This would cause them to fall sick, and eating rotten foods might caused then to have diseases. I believe if they fall a sick, their parents would not be able to bring them to the doctor as they are very poor. If the kids are left untreated, I cannot imagine the pain they had to gone through.
In conclusions, they are very poor and live in a third world country. I think that we, Singapore should so our part, and help them. Maybe we can raising for money for the third world country people. Maybe Singapore’s government can helps to build a school in the third world country to educate the children and teaches them then importance of health. We should send more people there to help them to built houses, schools. I believe there are many Singaporean that are willing to help this poor people. I hoped that Singaporean would be able to lend a helping hand to those in need. And that, we should learn from the people there, to recycle things and not to be wasteful.
